The Excel Community Association of Alamance (ECAA) has strategically developed Champions Academy, a year-round afterschool and summer camp program that educates, empowers, and engages students living in low-income areas who attend underperforming schools.  The program will be FREE to all enrolled students upon award of grant funds through the NC Department of Public Instruction.

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR 21ST CENTURY COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER COHORT 17 GRANT FUNDS SUPPORTING OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMMING

In accordance with the application instructions from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Excel Community Association of Alamance (ECAA) for Champions Academy submits this public notice to the community of Alamance County of our intent to submit an application for a 21st Century Community Learning Center After School & Summer Program grant for eligible students of Eastlawn Elementary, Newlin Elementary, Andrews Elementary, Grove Park Elementary & Hillcrest Elementary schools.

The purpose of the 21st CCLC Program, as described in federal statute, is to provide opportunities for eligible communities to establish or expand activities that focus on:
 

 

1. Improved Academic Achievement
2. Enrichment services that reinforce and complement the academic program
as well as social and emotional learning
3. Family engagement
